Hillary Clinton: Sh*tting us or shooting us?

by doglord

Today Hillary Rodham Clinton cited Robert Kennedy’s June 1968 assassination as justification for staying in the race for her party’s presidential nomination, effectively demonstrating that she is 100% bat shit crazy.

“Everyone, in all these states, who wants to attempt an assassination, should have that assassination attempt counted,” the ever-indignant Clinton might well have said. “It’s a civil rights issue.”

Actually, the civil rights remark she did make, yesterday, when she said not getting to change the rules regarding the Florida primary to her benefit would be a civil rights violation.

Say WTF? Is there a doctor in the house? And can I have a whole bunch of whatever it is she’s taking?

Clinton also compared a Florida primary that didn’t play by her changing rules to the current election in Zimbabwe where a tyrannical despot is sanctioning murder in order to steal an election he appears to have lost.

Um…sorry to point this out, but mentioning assassination sounds like something the bad guy, Mugabe, might do.

Though her remarks regarding assassination are, to many, indefensible, that didn’t stop Clinton campaign spokesperson Mo Elleithee from trying to defend them.

“She was simply referencing her husband in 1992 and Bobby Kennedy in 1968 of historical examples of the nominating process going well into the summer. Any reading into it beyond that is inaccurate and outrageous,” Elleithee said

Note to Mo: There are many, more apt, long-running primary races she could have referenced. Citing Bobby Kennedy’s assassination was, at the very least, Freudian AND TOTALLY FREAKING OUTRAGEOUS. AS IS YOUR DEFENSE OF IT.

Clinton finished her doozy of a rational for staying in the race today by saying she doesn’t understand why people want her to drop out of the race.

Note to Hillary: Suggesting shit like white people won’t vote for a black man and assassination happens is why people want you to drop out of the race.
