Liam’s not here making cantaloupe martinis anymore, but this is Hal’s house and the joint jumps. Good vibe, great food. Live jazz weekend nights.

Bar/restaurant. Cool hang, can be a scene. Good food and drink, a little pricey.

Can be a scene, too Hollywoody, at times. But also really good food and drink. One of the better places around Venice to go for a nice night out.

Abbot Kinney’s premier restaurant. Gourmet dining for a price. Best make reservations, even if you know someone. You won’t be disappointed.

Great wine bistro on Abbot Kinney Blvd. Come for the wine, stay for the tapas menu. Rustic atmosphere and plenty popular.

Cadillac margarita, chocolate souffle, civilized dining, meat-market weekend nights.

One of my favorite restaurants in Venice. Delicious and healthy comfort food from all corners of the globe, sort of. The name is pronounced “ah-shay.” The Fred Siegel-clad clientele may not know where to shop for clothes, but they clearly know where to go to eat. Austere vibe, great food that’s not cheap, terminally casual crowd.
